Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician โ€“ Salisbury, MD 

Direct Hire | Full-Time 

Pay Range: $64,000โ€“$100,400 annually 

Relocation Assistance: $2,500 

Position Overview 

Join a collaborative laboratory team dedicated to delivering accurate, timely diagnostic testing that directly impacts patient care. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you'll perform a wide range of laboratory testing while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Analyze, verify, and accurately report laboratory results. 
  • Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation. 
  • Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure testing accuracy. 
  • Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and organizational standards. 
  • Document testing activities and maintain accurate laboratory records. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care. 
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects. 

Requirements 

  • One of the following: 
    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited program 
    • Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science with ASCP certification 
    • Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with at least 2 years of applicable laboratory experience 
  • ASCP certification required 
  • Blood Bank experience required 
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
