Position Type: Full-Time, 6 month contract (medical leave coverage)


About the Role

Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Operations Administrator to support daily quality and laboratory operations within a regulated environment. This role is ideal for someone with industry experience who enjoys administrative coordination, documentation, and supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, organizing documentation, and assisting with day-to-day operational activities across laboratory and quality teams.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Manage purchase orders and track lab supplies, equipment, and services

  • Coordinate vendor visits for preventative maintenance and calibrations

  • Ensure timely receipt and processing of orders

Training & Compliance Support

  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions

  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready training records

  • Track completion and follow up on outstanding training requirements

GLP Study & Documentation Support

  • Maintain study binders and ensure document accuracy and version control

  • Support raw data verification and quality checks

  • Assist with deviation tracking and CAPA documentation

Inventory Management

  • Track lab inventory, consumables, and supplies

  • Monitor expiration dates and ensure compliance

  • Coordinate replenishment to prevent operational disruptions

SOP & Document Control

  • Assist with SOP authoring, revisions, and reviews

  • Coordinate document approvals and workflows

  • Maintain document control systems and ensure compliance with review cycles

General Lab Operations Support

  • Assist with electronic Permit to Work (ePTW) processes

  • Support cross-functional teams with administrative and operational tasks

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with GLP/GMP standards


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in QA, laboratory operations, or regulated environments (GLP/GMP)

  • Working knowledge of GLP regulations and document control practices

  • Experience with document control systems (e.g., MasterControl, Agile, Windchill)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with inventory management or procurement systems

  • Familiarity with ePTW systems

  • Experience supporting SOP development in lab or manufacturing settings
