Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to drivers, dock workers, and office staff in alignment with OHFL culture and company policies.
  • Supervise and support P&D and linehaul operations to ensure freight moves efficiently and on schedule.
  • Dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries, optimize routes, and verify accurate documentation.
  • Manage payroll functions, including reviewing and approving timecards.
  • Oversee outbound dock operations, ensuring freight is loaded, staged, and handled properly.
  • Enforce safety protocols, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct monthly driver safety meetings and support training initiatives.
  • Deliver proactive customer service by addressing inquiries, scheduling freight pickups, and resolving shipment delays or misroutes.
  • Monitor operational metrics to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Manage team performance, including accountability, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Utilize OHFL systems to maintain data accuracy, resolve operational issues, and ensure smooth workflows.
  • Cover various shifts as needed to ensure consistent operational support.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or customer-facing role, ideally in transportation (LTL experience preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially in time-sensitive situations.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to meet performance goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); AS400 experience is a bonus.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
