This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical energy infrastructure while working directly with landowners, project teams, and utility stakeholders throughout the right of way acquisition process.

We are looking for professionals with strong landowner communication skills, electric transmission or linear infrastructure experience, and the ability to work independently in rural project environments. Candidates must have an active Illinois real estate license and be comfortable supporting field-based right of way activities across assigned project areas.

Responsibilities
  • Support right of way acquisition activities for 345 kV and 765 kV overhead electric transmission projects
  • Conduct landowner outreach and build positive relationships with property owners
  • Facilitate property negotiations, easement acquisition, and right of way agreements
  • Coordinate with project managers, title resources, survey teams, client stakeholders, and internal land teams
  • Review and maintain accurate parcel, landowner, acquisition, and project documentation
  • Support surface title, courthouse research, and ownership verification efforts as needed
  • Assist with field-based project activities, stakeholder engagement, and issue resolution
  • Track project updates, landowner communications, and acquisition progress in internal systems
  • Travel throughout assigned project areas in Central Illinois as needed
Qualifications
  • Active Illinois Real Estate License required
  • Prior right of way, land acquisition, easement acquisition, or landowner negotiation experience required
  • Experience supporting electric transmission, utility, pipeline, renewable energy, or other linear infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, documentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently in rural communities and field-based project environments
  • Comfortable coordinating with landowners, project teams, title resources, and client stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Active Notary Public commission preferred, or ability to obtain quickly
  • Willingness to travel throughout Central Illinois as project needs require
Preferred Backgrounds
  • Overhead electric transmission projects
  • 345 kV or 765 kV transmission experience
  • Utility right of way acquisition
  • Easement acquisition and landowner negotiations
  • Pipeline or other corridor-based infrastructure
  • Utility-scale energy projects
