ABOUT US: Ascensus Global, Inc. (formerly MultiLingual Solutions, Inc.) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 21 years of successful experience providing professional language services, foreign language and cultural training, and analysis support to a broad client base consisting of more than 40 U.S. military and intelligence customers, as well as over 2,000 civilian government, commercial and non-profit organizations in various fields. With ISO 9001:2015 and 17100:2015 certifications, AGI provides services in more than 100 languages, employing innovative technologies and methodologies and applying best practices from both the Government and commercial arenas to advance each customer’s unique communication and operational objectives throughout the U.S. and across the globe. 


POSITION SUMMARY: We are actively hiring a Korean Linguists to work with a diverse team in support of a government contract.

Requirements:


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interaction with a wide variety of Government and contractor personnel in a diverse, evolving, high-profile environment.
  • Provide high-caliber bidirectional Korean to English interpretation and translation for high-level engagements and exchanges.
  • Provide translation and interpretation into English and source language.
  • Possible CONUS and OCONUS TDY opportunities to meet the customer's requirements, as needed.
  • Travel – Approximately 10%

SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI with polygraph is required. 


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A. in interpretation and translation obtained in U.S.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience providing translation and interpretation support within the last 7 years.
  • Korean Speaking/Listening/Reading Test: 4+
  • Vast interpretation experience.
  • Must be able to get along in a diverse team in a fast-paced environment with high stakes outcomes.
  • Experience supporting translation-related services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Certifications: Professional translation and/or interpretation certifications obtained (ATA, FCICE, CHI/CMI, etc.) .
  • Professional Association Memberships: ATA, AIIC, TAALS, NAJIT, IAPTI, NCIHC, etc..
  • Consecutive note taking, and public speaking experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday).

PAY RANGE:

Pay Range: $110,000 - $200,000 a year

Ascensus Global (AGI) pay range and level are general guidelines for this job. Several factors, including education, geographic location, contract labor categories, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, or market data, determine the final salary.
