POSITION SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end production operations within CVG's manufacturing facility. This role oversees multiple production areas and drives operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance - providing direct leadership to Production Supervisors and Team Leaders and indirect leadership to the hourly workforce across multi-shift operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Operations & Schedule Attainment

Lead daily manufacturing operations across all assigned production lines; ensure attainment of production schedules and customer delivery requirements; collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve issues and maintain production flow.

Monitor and drive performance against key KPIs including safety (TRIR, incident reduction), quality, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, scrap reduction, OEE, and employee engagement; identify gaps and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

Team Leadership & Development

Directly manage Production Supervisors and Team Leaders across multi-shift operations; provide daily direction, coaching, and performance feedback; build a high-performing, accountable team culture with strong floor presence and employee engagement.

Champion a safety-first culture and ensure OSHA compliance; ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications; drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S and Kaizen events focused on productivity and waste reduction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

10+ years of manufacturing experience; 3+ years of production operations leadership experience with salaried direct reports.

Demonstrated results-driven leadership with strong operational discipline, hands-on floor presence, and the ability to lead through others and build teams; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

Lean/OpEx knowledge and experience; experience in automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing.

Familiarity with CMMS, ERP, and MES systems; experience managing multi-shift, multi-line production operations.
