Warehouse Worker

Knight-Swift Supply Chain (KSSC) is a full-service supply chain and logistics provider (3PL) with a national warehouse presence. KSSC specializes in managed warehousing for all types of industries. From distribution solutions, eCommerce fulfillment, consolidation services, cross-docking/transloading, our proprietary technology allows us to be efficient and agile in all processes.

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products. This role ensures the efficient handling of materials, maintains inventory accuracy, and upholds safety and quality standards in the warehouse environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Loads raw material or finished product on skid or hand truck.
  • Preserves a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat.
  • Uses tools such as hammers and crowbars to remove strapping and open crates/boxes.
  • Assists with product repair.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the work area supervisor.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follows prescribed safety regulations and complies with all Company and OSHA Safety and Health rules.
  • Proactively works to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.
  • Strap and secure goods to pallet.
  • Receives, inspects, and sorts new inventory with RF scanner.
  • Operates, monitors, and troubleshoots a stretch wrap machine.

Required Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of related warehouse experience
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing, warehousing, or shipping operations

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 1 year of recent stand-up forklift experience
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good math and written communication skills.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Scan gun experience a plus.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Work is primarily performed in a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Will be required to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to perform repetitive motions. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
