Job Purpose: - The IT Infrastructure Engineer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc is responsible for ensuring the robustness, efficiency, and security of our IT infrastructure. This role involves assessing and optimizing system performance, designing and implementing infrastructure solutions, and maintaining high availability to support the organization's operational needs. The engineer will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any infrastructure-related issues. Key Responsibilities: - Assess infrastructure for bottlenecks and propose effective fixes to enhance system performance. - Plan, design, and implement IT systems to meet the evolving needs of the organization. - Provide support for networking, storage, security, and data center operations to ensure seamless functionality. - Guide the configuration and maintenance of IT infrastructure to maintain operational efficiency. - Ensure high availability of systems and services to minimize downtime and disruptions. - Collaborate with vendors to resolve infrastructure issues and procure necessary resources. - Maintain compliance with security protocols and standards, including TS SCI clearance with the ability to obtain CI Poly. Qualifications Required Education: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Required Experience: - Minimum of 9 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a related field. - Proven experience in assessing and resolving infrastructure bottlenecks. - Demonstrated expertise in planning, designing, and supporting networking, storage, security, and data center operations. - Experience in guiding configuration and maintenance to ensure high availability. - Experience working with vendors to resolve infrastructure issues. Required Skills and Abilities: - TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess infrastructure needs and propose effective solutions. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Proficiency in managing and supporting complex IT systems and infrastructure. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
