Job description

Our Foundation

KLINGER GPI provides industrial sealing products, technical expertise, and reliability-focused solutions to refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical facilities, and industrial operations throughout the Gulf Coast region. Backed by KLINGER's global manufacturing network and local operational support, we help customers improve safety, reliability, and operational performance in demanding industrial environments.

Role Summary

As a Regional Account Manager, you will drive growth for industrial gasketing solutions across the Houston-area heavy industrial market. This role exists to expand territory revenue while delivering technically sound, responsive support to plant and procurement stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:

-Develop new business opportunities within refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power generation, and industrial accounts

-Build relationships with engineering, maintenance, reliability, operations, procurement, and plant leadership teams

-Grow territory sales through prospecting, plant visits, networking, and strategic account development

-Expand existing customer accounts while identifying additional opportunities

-Recommend technical sealing and reliability solutions that improve safety and operational performance

-Follow up on opportunities, and support outage and turnaround activities

-Coordinate with inside sales, operations, engineering, and leadership teams to support customers

-Maintain CRM activity, forecasting, and territory reporting

-Monitor market activity, outages, turnarounds, and competitive developments throughout the Gulf Coast region

Required qualifications/skills:

-5+ years of outside sales, business development, or technical industrial sales experience preferred

-Experience selling into refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical plants, power generation, or heavy industrial markets strongly preferred

-Proven hunter mentality with the ability to develop new business and grow territory sales

-Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

-Self-motivated and capable of managing a regional territory independently

-Technical aptitude and ability to learn industrial sealing applications and products

-Experience navigating plant environments, turnaround schedules, and industrial procurement processes preferred

-Valid driver's license and ability to meet customer site access requirements

Field Rhythm

Your day typically starts by prioritizing plant touchpoints and follow-ups tied to active opportunities in fluid sealing. You’ll spend time on the road visiting sites, aligning with maintenance teams, engineers, buyers, plant managers and executive leadership, and confirming what’s needed ahead of upcoming work windows. Between stops, you’ll prospect by phone and email, document next steps, and coordinate timing with customer schedules. Afternoons often include networking meetings and focused time mapping target accounts, reviewing open quotes, and planning the next round of visits so your industrial gasketing pipeline stays healthy and predictable.
