Our goal is to promote family recipes with bold, authentic flavors that represent the region and combine the essence of Cajun cooking with the speedy convenience of quick service restaurant.
About the Role:
As a Prep Cook at Off The Hook, you'll set the tone for our restaurant by ensuring all food meets our high standards. Embrace the energetic atmosphere, collaborate with your team, and help ensure every meal meets our premium Real Cajun Real Fast dishes. You'll be essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere, keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and supporting your team to deliver top-notch Cajun food. If you enjoy thriving in a fast-paced environment, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow GM's instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
  • Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism

Requirements for Success:
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorates that may be change
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends, and travel as needed for work related functions and training
  • 1 year of restaurant experience
  • Must complete all required Off The Hook company training programs
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Possess a valid driver's license
