What You'll Do
The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for supporting the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food prep, and ensuring a smooth workflow. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a proactive approach to keeping the kitchen environment organized and sanitary.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks (washing, peeling, chopping, etc.)
  • Ensure ingredients are properly stored and the kitchen remains well-stocked
  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area and kitchen environment
  • Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment during and after shifts
  • Handle waste disposal, recycling, and stock rotation according to company standards
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Report any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly
  • Support the culinary team with various tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
