Kitchen Porter

Laylas is a family-owned and operated fast-casual Mediterranean kitchen rooted in quality, consistency, and community. We are looking for a dependable Kitchen Porter to help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen while supporting the movement, receiving, and transportation of food, supplies, inventory, and equipment.

What You’ll Do

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, equipment, work areas, storage areas, and common spaces
  • Remove trash, recycling, cardboard, and other waste
  • Receive, load, unload, carry, and organize deliveries
  • Move food, supplies, equipment, and inventory throughout the kitchen
  • Transport products between storage areas, vehicles, the commercial kitchen, and restaurant locations as directed
  • Organize walk-in coolers, freezers, dry storage, and supply areas
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO procedures
  • Keep receiving, loading, and storage areas clean and free of hazards
  • Report damaged products, shortages, maintenance issues, and food-safety concerns
  • Support the kitchen team with additional operational tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
  • Able to follow instructions and complete tasks without constant supervision
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous kitchen, warehouse, cleaning, delivery, or utility experience is preferred but not required
