Great opportunity for an experienced Kitchen Manager! This role will be based in the greater Pittsburgh Area at one of our Mad Mex Restaurants: Canonsburg, Cranberry, Monroeville, North Hills, Robinson, Shadyside, South Hills, Waterworks.

Our Kitchen Managers are positive leaders with top-notch communication skills who manage all kitchen operations and employees to ensure proper execution of all food items and standards of service. 

  • The Kitchen Manager oversees all kitchen functions including food inventory levels, purchases food products, and maintains quality standards. 
  • The Kitchen Manager makes employment decisions, and trains employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, and portion and cost control. 
  • The Kitchen Manager is knowledgeable of all front of house procedures.

Required skills and qualifications to be a Kitchen Manager with big Burrito Restaurant Group:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Able to pass a background screening
  • 6 months of experience in a management role
  • 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook and expediter
  • Able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests

Physical requirements for Kitchen Manager with big Burrito Restaurant Group:

  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
