Description:
The Assistant Kitchen Manager works with the Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead the team to create an accurate and efficient food-service environment.
Responsibilities include:
  • Providing leadership to and daily management of the kitchen
  • Holding staff accountable for recipes made to spec, every time
  • Making sure employees are well trained and knowledgeable concerning the menu, processes, policies, and systems of the restaurant
  • Training staff on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques
  • Fostering an exciting and inclusive environment for the kitchen staff
  • Leading by example; prepping, cooking, and plating
  • Maintaining a compliant and safe environment
  • Upholding a standard of best-in-class food preparation practices
