Job description

Join UCT and help shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing.

Every smartphone, smart vehicle, data center, and AI‑driven device relies on the technologies UCT supports. As the semiconductor industry accelerates, we’re evolving with it—innovating, problem‑solving, and enabling our customers at the leading edge of technology. At UCT, we value people who think critically, act with urgency, and continuously improve.

UCT is hiring a Planner to advance our APS and Kinaxis capabilities at our Austin, TX site.

We are seeking an onsite Planner with hands‑on Kinaxis RapidResponse experience to support UCT Austin’s APS transformation. This role blends production planning for low‑volume/high‑mix (LVHM) assemblies with Kinaxis super‑user responsibilities, including scenario modeling, parameter governance, S&OP/IBP alignment, and CTB improvements. Strong analytical ability, planning leadership, and cross‑functional influence are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Kinaxis RapidResponse (Super‑User Level)
  • Own scenarios, what‑ifs, alerts, dashboards, and planning parameter governance.
  • Train planners & partners to strengthen APS adoption and planning discipline.
  • Support enhancements, configuration changes, and ongoing APS improvements.
Demand, Supply & Inventory Planning
  • Lead demand planning inputs, consensus cycles, and change‑impact analysis.
  • Manage supply plans using finite/infinite capacity logic across complex BOMs.
  • Drive inventory optimization through policy governance and exception management.
Production Execution & CTB Readiness
  • Maintain accurate production schedules and material alignment for multi‑level assemblies.
  • Own CTB visibility, long‑lead risk tracking, and supplier/material readiness.
  • Partner with Manufacturing to resolve capacity, shortage, and schedule risks.
S&OP / IBP Governance & KPI Management
  • Prepare inputs for S&OP/IBP reviews and lead scenario modeling.
  • Govern KPIs, exception queues, backlog/commit health, and planning performance.
  • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement using data‑driven insights.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with Engineering on ECR/BOM change impacts to plans.
  • Coordinate with Procurement on supplier commits and mitigation strategies.
  • Align priorities across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Planning teams.
QualificationsRequired Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations—ideally in high‑tech or semiconductor environments with complex, multi‑level assemblies.
  • LVHM contract manufacturing experience at Sr/Master Planner level.
  • Strong ownership of demand planning, supply planning (finite/infinite), and inventory optimization.
  • Experience driving S&OP/IBP governance and cross‑functional alignment.
  • ERP proficiency (SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross‑functional training capability.
Required Technical Skills
  • Kinaxis RapidResponse hands‑on experience (super‑user preferred): scenarios, alerts, parameter governance, user enablement.
  • Experience with ECR/BOM integration, CTB methodology, and APS parameter governance.
  • Strong analytical skills for forecasting, modeling, and production optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or related industries.
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
Challenges & Opportunities

Planning in UCT’s LVHM environment requires managing complex, multi‑level assemblies, long‑lead materials, and rapid engineering change. You will balance constraints, maintain CTB readiness, and advance APS and Kinaxis adoption. This role offers the opportunity to modernize planning systems, strengthen cross‑functional alignment, and support one of the world’s most advanced semiconductor supply chains.
