Job title: Sr. Architect, Maestro Kinaxis Solutions, Supply Chain Planning

Position Summary

Mckesson is seeking an experienced Sr. Architect, Maestro Kinaxis Solutions, Supply Chain Planning who is responsible for designing, configuring, and delivering end-to-end planning solutions using Kinaxis Rapid Response (or Maestro). This role serves as the functional and technical expert, translating business requirements into scalable planning solutions across demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and S&OP/IBP. The Solution Architect partners with business stakeholders, program managers, data teams, and system integrators to ensure high-quality solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:


Solution Design & Architecture -

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Kinaxis Rapid Response, including data models, configurations, integrations, and planning workflows.

  • Translate business processes (S&OP, MPS, MRP, DRP, demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, etc.) into platform capabilities.

  • Develop future-state process and system architecture aligned with enterprise supply chain strategy.

  • Ensure solution design meets performance, scalability, and compliance requirements.


Implementation Leadership -

  • Guide configuration of Kinaxis modules such as:

    • Supply Planning

    • Demand Planning

    • Inventory Management

    • Constrained/Unconstrained planning

    • Scenario management

  • Oversee integration architecture between Kinaxis, ERP systems (SAP S/4, ECC), and other planning tools.

  • Review and validate design documents, user stories, and functional specifications.


Platform Configuration & Build -

  • Configure Rapid Response workbooks, tasks, alerts, scorecards, dashboards, and planning logic.

  • Develop and optimize data models, calculations, business rules, and what-if scenarios.

  • Ensure alignment with Kinaxis best practices, industry standards, and reusable design frameworks.


Data Integration & Technical Alignment -

  • Work closely with data and integration teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate integration with ERP, MuleSoft, HANA, and data platforms.

  • Troubleshoot data quality issues, mapping errors, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Validate end-to-end data flows and ensure system stability at scale.


Solution Delivery & Testing -

  • Lead end-to-end design, build, SIT, UAT, Production Parallel Runs and deployment phases of Rapid Response implementations.

  • Create functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials.

  • Manage solution-level issues, drive defect resolution, and ensure quality delivery.


Stakeholder Management -

  • Serve as the primary functional contact between business teams, technical teams, and system integrators.

  • Present solution designs, architecture documents, and planning concepts to senior stakeholders.

  • Influence decision-making with strong domain knowledge and planning expertise.


Continuous Improvement & Optimization -

  • Identify opportunities to enhance planning capabilities using Rapid Response features, automation, and scenario planning.

  • Drive roadmap planning for future Kinaxis enhancements and new capabilities (e.g., Rapid Response Maestro, analytics, automation).

  • Recommend future enhancements, module expansions, or process redesigns.

  • Stay updated on Kinaxis product releases and incorporate advancements into system design.

  • Support post-go-live optimization, COE activities, and governance frameworks.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.

  • 7-10 years of supply chain planning experience, including strong hands-on Kinaxis Rapid Response exposure.

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (Plan/Source/Make/Deliver).

  • Experience architecting complex planning solutions in global, multi-ERP environments.

  • Strong knowledge of data models, integration patterns (ETL, APIs), and planning algorithms.

  • Ability to lead workshops, influence cross-functional teams, and drive decision-making.

  • Kinaxis certifications (e.g., RR Solution Architect, RR Author, RR Contributor) preferred.


Technical & Functional Skills

  • Deep functional knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, capacity planning, and S&OP/IBP processes.

  • Proven hands-on experience in Kinaxis Maestro / RR

  • Strong understanding of ERP ecosystems (SAP S/4HANA, ECC) and data integration concepts.

  • Expertise in scenario planning, risk modeling, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into system solutions and process workflows.


Certifications (Preferred)

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD.

  • Kinaxis Rapid Response Author or Contributor certifications are highly desirable
