Job description

The Position: The Group Supervisor - Software Engineering position requires demonstrated analytical, technical, and leadership skills with a solid understanding and experience on software development lifecycle. The position guides team development efforts towards successful project delivery and provides technical leadership to existing and new teammates through coaching and mentorship.

Who should apply?

  • Experience in leading engineering teams of ~10-12 professionals, ensuring successful project deliveries.
  • 8+ years' experience in software engineering with technologies like .NET Core (C#), ASP. Net, JavaScript/jQuery and SQL Server.
  • Proficient communicator, skilled at 60% hands-on duties and 40% supervisory tasks.
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft Azure functions and services.
  • Effectively leverage approved AI-powered tools and automation to enhance productivity across daily work activities and applicable Software Development Life Cycle elements -such as requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and /or operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and supervise a team to maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits throughout software development projects.
  • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop based business applications.
  • Facilitate coordination with other scrum teams to minimize development affects to other teams
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Scale applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality

Onsite Requirements:

  • Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office. Relocation is required for candidates not already local to the DFW area. 
  • In-person attendance is required at minimum 2 days per week during the first 90 days of employment.
  • After 90-day review, in-person attendance is required at minimum 1 day per month and required for certain meetings and tasks (collaboration with stakeholders and customers, team collaboration day, ISN events, team events, performance reviews, etc.).
