Duties

  • Prepare patients for ketamine therapy sessions by explaining procedures and addressing questions to ensure comfort and understanding
  • Administer ketamine infusions following established protocols, monitoring patient responses throughout the treatment
  • Observe and document patient vitals, physiological responses, and any adverse effects during sessions with precision and care
  • Maintain accurate medical records adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance
  • Assist with pre- and post-treatment assessments, including evaluating patient history, current health status, and recovery progress
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Educate patients on post-treatment care, safety guidelines, and answer any concerns related to their therapy experience

Experience

  • Proven experience in nursing roles with a focus on patient care in clinical or outpatient settings
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to understand treatment impacts on the body during infusion procedures
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation standards, and electronic medical records systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times
  • Prior experience administering intravenous infusions or similar treatments is highly desirable
