Job Title: Program Assistant, Stage 1
Location: Administrative Offices, Los Angeles
Primary Duties: To provide administrative support to the Stage 1 Child Care Program, including
maintaining parent and childcare provider data,
generating reports as needed and providing customer service assistance.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Hybrid Schedule - 2 days onsite/3 days remote!
Occasional weekends or evenings.
Starting rate: $20-$21/hr. DOE and Education + Benefits
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of previous experience in office administration or related fields.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Strong Customer Service skills. Ability to work effectively with people from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds.
High level of oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Windows-based programs and data entry experience
Competency with written and spoken English
Basic math competency.
Familiarity with basic office equipment.
Additional Requirements:
Enter and update family data in the agency database
Review client eligibility
Assess case records
Generate reports as assigned.
Assist with phone coverage and walk-ins.
Print, log, and respond to child care requests within the required contractual timelines
Responsible for team filing needs
Attend outside meetings that educate clients on Pathway's services
Assist with parent and provider file audits.
Assist Specialists during enrollments and assessments, as assigned.
Assist Specialists with referrals by assessing and compiling client information in files
Assist Specialists with referrals and transfers by verifying data from LRS.
Participate responsibly in department and Agency staff meetings.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:
10 sick days per year; no waiting period
10 vacation days per year for the first 2 years of service; accrual increase schedule; no waiting period
11 holidays; no waiting period
1 floating holiday; 90-day waiting period
18 paid hours of early release; no waiting period
