Job description

Schrock Innovations is growing, and we’re looking for a friendly, motivated Junior Technician to join our Des Moines Service Center team full-time. This entry-level position is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, has an interest in technology, and is excited to learn hands-on in a supportive service environment.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist customers at the Service Center (walk-in, phone call, or a scheduled home visit)
  • Deliver quality customer service that makes the customer feel heard and supported
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex issues to senior technicians
  • Help customers understand their devices and proactively suggest ways to improve their technology
  • Accurately document service events, including issue and resolution

What We’re Looking For:

  • Available to work a full-time schedule, weekends included
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year customer-facing experience (retail, tech support, service industry)
  • A strong desire to solve problems and help others
  • Basic familiarity with computers, smartphones, and common operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license to travel from the Service Center for home visits
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks that include standing, bending and kneeling
