Job description

The Senior Consultant - Boomi Data Hub Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and deploying enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Boomi Data Hub. This role will work directly with clients, business stakeholders, data architects, and integration teams to translate business and data requirements into scalable Data Hub solutions. The Senior Consultant will lead the technical configuration of master data domains, matching and survivorship rules, data quality controls, source-system integrations, and synchronization processes. The role requires a combination of hands-on Boomi development experience, strong MDM and data management knowledge, and the ability to lead technical conversations with clients throughout the full implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and configure Boomi Data Hub solutions supporting enterprise master data domains such as Customer, Account, Contact, Product, Supplier, Employee, and other business entities. 
  • Configure Data Hub models, fields, source systems, repositories, relationships, and data synchronization processes.
  • Develop and configure match rules, duplicate detection, survivorship rules, source ranking, and golden record creation.
  • Define and implement data quality, validation, standardization, and exception-handling rules.
  • Develop Boomi integrations that load, synchronize, and distribute master data between Data Hub and enterprise applications. 
  • Create source-to-target mappings and transformation specifications.
  • Work with business and technical stakeholders to identify systems of record, systems of entry, and authoritative sources by attribute.
  • Support data profiling and analysis to identify duplicates, incomplete records, inconsistent values, and other data quality issues.
  • Design processes for data stewardship, exception management, and manual record review.
  • Develop and execute unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution. 
  • Support migration and initial population of master data into Data Hub.
  • Troubleshoot Data Hub and integration processing issues and identify root causes. 
  • Develop technical documentation, configuration documentation, mappings, and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in solution design, technical architecture, and client working sessions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and offshore developers.
  •  Support deployment and promotion of solutions across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Apply MDM, data governance, integration, and data quality best practices throughout the implementation lifecycle.

  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, CSV, relational databases, and web services.
  • Experience performing data profiling and identifying data quality issues.
  • Understanding of integration patterns including batch, scheduled, event-driven, and real-time processing.
  • Experience with unit testing, troubleshooting, error handling, logging, and production support.
  • Ability to translate functional and business requirements into technical designs.
  • Strong client-facing communication and consulting skills.
  • Ability to independently lead technical design and development sessions.
  • Ability to manage assigned deliverables and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies.

  • Experience implementing enterprise MDM solutions across multiple source systems.

  • Experience mentoring junior technical resources and coordinating development across onshore and offshore delivery teams.
  • Consulting experience within Higher Education, Nonprofit, Healthcare, or Commercial organizations is preferred.
Years of Experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data integration, data management, MDM, or related technology consulting. 3+ years of hands-on Boomi development experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Boomi Data Hub, Boomi Master Data Hub, or comparable enterprise MDM implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience completing at least 2 enterprise MDM/Data Hub implementations through design, development, testing, and deployment is strongly preferred.
Certifications

Boomi Data Hub certification or current Boomi Data Hub role-based certification/learning path. Boomi Integration certification.
