Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Bettendorf, Dubuque
Salary: $100,000 - $160,000 (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of commercial and industrial mechanical projects. The role is responsible for managing project scope, budget, schedule, and quality for HVAC, plumbing and building systems work. 
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical and MEP projects from design through construction and commissioning.
  • Manage schedules, milestones, budgets, costs, and project financial performance.
  • Coordinate design, constructability, and value engineering reviews with project stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement of mechanical equipment and materials to meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and manage change orders, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Supervise construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while maintaining project progress and delivery goals.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, providing project updates and performance reporting.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, subcontractors, and junior staff.
  • Support estimating, bidding, and preconstruction efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of project management or mechanical engineering experience
  • Proven experience managing engineering projects, budgets, and schedules
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license - Preferred
  • Experience with HVAC systems, building systems, or industrial mechanical design - Preferred
  • Project management certification - Preferred
