Jr. Procurement Specialist Location: Springfield, VA / Chantilly, VA
Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Overview
We are seeking Procurement Specialists to support a classified government program in a fast-paced acquisition and supply chain environment. The team is responsible for procuring IT hardware and software while supporting acquisition planning, material requirements, and vendor coordination efforts for mission-critical operations. Responsibilities • Support procurement and acquisition activities from start to finish • Work with program teams to streamline procurement processes and material purchases • Generate and manage material requirements for customer programs • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to support acquisition strategies and delivery schedules • Monitor material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory processes • Maintain reports and assist with workload forecasting and expediting activities • Analyze material requirements and identify leveraging opportunities and supplier recommendations • Provide procurement guidance to program teams on acquisition approaches • Work across multiple systems in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Support micro-purchases using company purchasing cards when required Required Qualifications • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education, certifications, military, or professional experience • Basic Excel skills including formulas, formatting, sorting, filtering, and workbook creation • Microsoft Office experience • Strong communication and organizational skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize work across multiple systems simultaneously • Strong attention to detail Preferred Qualifications • Procurement, buying, or supply chain management experience • Experience with IBM Maximo or Deltek Costpoint • Experience working with RFQs and acquisition processes • Experience supporting classified government environments Work Environment • 100% on-site in a classified government facility • Fast-paced procurement environment with high daily workload • Team-oriented environment supporting IT hardware and software acquisitions • Opportunities for long-term growth and advancement within the organization
