Position Summary: The Junior Talent Acquisition Specialist is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals looking to grow a career in Talent Acquisition. This role will partner closely with experienced Specialists, Hiring Managers, and leadership to support the full-cycle recruiting process while managing an active requisition load. Through hands-on training and mentorship, the Junior Talent Acquisition Consultant will develop the skills needed to attract, evaluate, and hire top talent while delivering a strong candidate experience.

Location: Candidates must currently reside in the greater Memphis, TN area to be considered, as this is a fully onsite, in-office role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and senior talent acquisition team members to understand workforce needs, define role requirements, and support recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage a requisition load with guidance, supporting multiple open positions simultaneously while developing full-cycle recruiting capabilities.
  • Assist in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and presenting qualified candidates for multiple positions.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods including job boards, social media, networking events, and talent pipelines to identify diverse candidates.
  • Build strong candidate relationships through consistent phone communication, follow-up, and engagement throughout the hiring process.
  • Provide support to hiring teams by sharing market insights and candidate feedback to help guide hiring decisions.
  • Deliver a strong candidate experience by maintaining clear communication, timely follow-up, and professional engagement throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment tools, and vendor platforms to maintain accurate records and support reporting on key hiring metrics.
  • Support employer branding efforts by promoting the organization's culture and values.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers, Regional Directors, and talent acquisition team members on workforce planning and hiring needs.
  • Continuously learn and contribute ideas to improve recruitment processes and efficiency.
  • Assist with recruitment processes such as coordinating candidate interview travel, supporting onboarding activities, and other tasks as necessary.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Staffing Support Administrator for company offer letters to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate candidate documentation and records in accordance with company and compliance standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • High level of discretion and confidentiality
    • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to build relationships
    • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
    • Exposure to recruitment tools (ATS, Indeed, LinkedIn, Handshake, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience:
    • 0-2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, administrative support, or customer-facing roles
    • Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (retail, food & beverage, hospitality, etc.) strongly preferred
    • Internship or coursework related to HR or recruiting is a plus
  • Education:
    • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required
