Job description

RH Interior Design is a multidisciplinary practice of designers, interior architects and stylists who create extraordinary, one-of-a-kind spaces. As one of the largest and most dominant residential design firms in the world, we have a global portfolio of celebrated, nationally published projects from San Francisco to Shanghai, Miami to Milan, Los Angeles to London, Pittsburgh to Paris, Toronto to Tokyo and Denver to Dubai.

RH is seeking a Junior Designer who will pioneer the development of our design business at RH Interior Design, Palm Desert. This is a historic opportunity to join the disruptive evolution of RH in our first ever standalone brick-and-mortar interior design firm. RH is the ideal environment for an entrepreneurial designer seeking long-term professional growth, exposure to top-tier projects around the globe, a competitive salary and direct access to the expansive RH and Waterworks assortment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Provide a luxury experience for RH clientele through every facet of RH Interior Design
  • Masterfully integrate and implement the RH Design Ethos across all residential interior design projects
  • Create brand-elevating interior design presentations; communicate design concepts, space planning decisions and product selections 
  • Guide clients through every phase of their design journey including consultations, site visits, deliveries and installations
  • Lead multiple small to medium design projects from concept to completion
  • Champion the firm's vision, strategies and financial goals 
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by hosting exclusive events, fostering relationships within the community and driving brand growth
  • Maintain a high level of engagement with and knowledge of the local luxury market
OUR REQUIREMENTS 
  • 3+ years of interior design experience, including architectural design, project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Practical expertise in new construction and renovation timelines, including the design of custom kitchens, bathrooms and millwork
  • Applied knowledge of interior construction and installation
  • NCIDQ certification and a degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field preferred 
  • Proficiency with Mac operating systems, iOS devices, Microsoft Office and Google applications 
  • In-depth proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and other related space planning/rendering programs preferred 
  • Must possess a valid passport for international travel and a valid driver's license for daily vehicle operation
  • Local, domestic and international travel up to 50%
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 25 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques 
  • Weekly domestic travel, both locally and out of state
