JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking an junior level software development engineer for our Federal Software Engineering and Data Products Development team. The position includes support of dynamic, fast-paced projects that span all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, and customer support. As part of a small team, this developer will participate in the development and maintenance of various data products for various satellite programs to include the following:

- API

- Compass

- Database

- Human Machine Interface GUIs

- Mission Unique Software

- Orbital Analysis

- Simulation

- Task Automated Operations

The ideal candidate has experience with satellite telemetry and commanding, including software development in EPOCH Product Suite and OASYS. This candidate must be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a larger team, be a self-learner, have strong attention to detail, and be able to adhere to strict timelines. Experience with software development life cycle is also required. Candidate must be able to quickly and efficiently generate estimates and status of design efforts, including materials (such as presentation slides), for use internally as well as with customers. Good written and oral communication skills strongly desired.

REQUIRED:

Candidate should possess a four year degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with software development in the following areas:

- Development Lifecycle

- Microsoft Product Suite

- Software Version Control

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

DESIRED:

Three to five years’ experience in satellite telemetry, commanding and software development to include the following areas:

- EPOCH Product Suite

- Git Version Control

- OASYS (Orbital Analysis System)

- MILSATCOM Operations Experience

- Scripting/Programming (Perl, C, Shell, Batch, etc)

- Software Regression Testing

This position is available in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
