Job description

Junior Maintenance Technician

Pay: $22-24/hour
Schedule: Full-Time

We are looking for a dependable Junior Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of our apartment community. This role is ideal for someone with some general maintenance experience who wants to continue building their skills while working alongside an experienced team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with work orders, service requests, and emergency calls

  • Inspect apartment units and identify maintenance needs

  • Assist with apartment turnovers

  • Paint and complete minor interior repairs

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance

  • Assist with repairs to toilets, water heaters, hose bibs, doors, trim, molding, and similar items

  • Help with exterior maintenance including gutters, siding, paint touch-ups, and minor pavement repairs

  • Keep common areas clean and free of debris

  • Assist with maintenance inventory and parts as directed

  • Follow instructions from the Property Manager and maintenance team

  • Maintain professional and respectful interactions with residents and coworkers

Requirements:

  • Some maintenance, construction, handyman, apartment, or related experience preferred

  • Basic knowledge of general repairs and maintenance

  • Ability to follow directions and work with some supervision

  • Dependable and willing to learn
