Job description

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience with instructional design to include industry standard authoring tools (ex. Captivate, Articulate) and virtual classroom (ex. Adobe Connect).
  • Demonstrated experience with adult learning principles and curriculum design to include classroom and blended solutions, and ADDIE process (Assess, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate).
  • Project management experience.

Job Summary

Provide high level administrative and technical support by assisting the Sales Support Supervisor. Duties may include preparing reports, compiling statistics and other data using spreadsheets and tables, and other general clerical responsibilities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborates with Manager, Learning Design and Development to design and develop appropriate learning to support objectives meeting the needs of the target audience.
  • Designs, revises, maintains and delivers high-quality and effective learning resources.
  • Provides learning recommendations and consults across the Learning and Development team for learning solutions.
  • Support learning facilitation design and development needs.
  • Applies instructional design and adult learning theory to design, development, implement and maintain training programs which may include instructor led, virtual instructor led, eLearning and blended learning programs.
  • Contributes to authoring development standards, processes, and templates to produce consistent, quality instructional materials.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel .

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • No travel required.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
