Full Stack Engineer - Defense Sustainment

Role Summary:
Exiger is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Cleared) to build and scale a highly strategic, federally aligned supply chain resilience initiative. This individual will operate across both front-end and back-end systems, delivering end-to-end functionality within a live control-tower environment. You will be responsible for connecting data pipelines, APIs, and user interfaces into a cohesive platform that enables real-time decision-making for operators, analysts, and senior stakeholders. This is a mission-critical role requiring strong engineering fundamentals, adaptability, and the ability to deliver measurable outcomes under compressed timelines.
What You'll Do:
  • Design, build, and maintain full stack applications that power the control-tower environment
  • Develop and integrate APIs, backend services, and front-end components into unified workflows
  • Build data-driven interfaces and dashboards that support real-time operational decision-making
  • Partner with Platform Engineers, Solution Architects, and Forward Deployed Engineers to translate mission requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Contribute to data ingestion and pipeline workflows to ensure seamless flow of information across the platform
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across both front-end and back-end systems
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards across the stack, including code quality, testing, and deployment practices
  • Support rapid iteration cycles to evolve product capabilities in alignment with operational needs

What You Need:
  • Strong experience building full stack applications in modern environments
  • Strong experience designing and managing SQL databases
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue) and back-end languages (e.g., C++, Java, or Go)
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful , RPC and/or GQL APIs and working with distributed systems
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, ETLs, and data-intensive applications
  • Familiarity with designing and building secure applications in cloud environments
  • Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong understanding of system design, performance optimization, and scalability
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Professional Experience Required:
  • 4-10 years of experience in software engineering or full stack development
  • Experience supporting federal, defense, or highly regulated environments is strongly preferred
  • Background in data platforms, analytics systems, or AI-enabled applications is a plus
