RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET Engineer to join a team building a next-generation client onboarding platform for its Wealth Management organization.
Summary:
This is an exciting greenfield development opportunity where you'll help transform a highly manual, spreadsheet-driven onboarding process into a modern, workflow-driven application. The ideal candidate is a strong .NET full stack engineer with experience designing and developing solutions in process-intensive environments. While technical expertise is important, this role places a premium on candidates who understand business process engineering, workflow automation, and building software that streamlines complex operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving challenging business problems, learning new technologies, and working closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to build a solution from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and enhance a modern client onboarding platform using .NET technologies
* Analyze and improve complex business processes by translating manual workflows into scalable software solutions
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders to design workflow-driven applications
* Build and integrate process automation solutions that improve operational efficiency
* Develop full stack applications, contributing across backend services and frontend user interfaces
* Leverage AI and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies where appropriate to enhance business processes and application capabilities
* Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions
* Learn and adopt new technologies as project needs evolve
* Help establish engineering best practices for a new application built from the ground up
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (preferred but not required)
* 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
* Strong experience developing applications using .NET/C#
* Experience working in process-heavy environments where software supports complex business workflows
* Experience with process engineering, workflow automation, or business process management
* Experience building or integrating applications that utilize AI tools or Large Language Models (LLMs)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and continuously learn
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Camunda or another Business Process Management (BPM) or workflow automation platform
* Experience with AWS cloud services
* Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, Angular, WinForms, or similar frameworks
* Experience participating in greenfield application development

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
