Cost Estimator - Kapco Grafton, WI

  • Interpret engineering documents such as drawings, technical manuals and technical specifications
  • Examine documents (blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications) and verify completeness and accuracy of data
  • Confers with document originators and technical experts, and or customer’s engineering liaison personnel, resolves discrepancies and implements required changes
  • Serves as customer liaison and reports customer concerns
  • Determines costs of processing products and provides quote information for customers
  • Investigates problems and initiates effective measures for their solution
  • Maintains an awareness of developments and technologies in the area of coating techniques, assembly processes and material control
  • Provides recommendations regarding feasibility of using alternative approaches, modifying or replacing processes to reduce costs or improve quality
  • Enters data and maintains related files
  • Participates on improvement teams, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
