Job Summary
As a Jr. Creative at Blue Hour Studios, you will support the development of innovative concepts and content that bring brand strategies to life across social, digital, and video platforms. Working closely with a Senior Creative and the broader creative team, you will contribute ideas, write copy, build visual references, and assist in executing creative work from brief through production across a range of projects.
You are a social-savvy creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and an instinct for how brands can connect with audiences in culturally relevant ways. You are detail-oriented, collaborative, and excited to develop your creative craft in a fast-moving environment.
This role reports to a Senior Creative and works closely with them to develop ideas and ensure high-quality creative execution.
On select smaller assignments, you may take ownership of concepting and execution with guidance and feedback from senior creatives, helping you grow your creative leadership skills over time.
As a Jr. Creative, you will...
  • Support creative development: Assist in concepting and writing social-first creative across social, digital, and video touchpoints that translate brand objectives into engaging, culturally relevant ideas.

  • Stay tapped into social culture: Maintain awareness of emerging trends, platform behaviors, and internet culture to help identify opportunities for engaging content.

  • Drive influencer and creator creative: Identify recommended talent suited for client goals,develop concepts and/or creative briefs for that talent, and contribute feedback on concepts and content

  • Support content production: Assist with pre-production planning, collaborate with senior creative team and producers, and contribute to shoots and content development.

  • Participate in brainstorms and creative development: Actively contribute to team brainstorms by bringing cultural insights, references, and early-stage ideas.

  • Take ownership of select smaller projects: On smaller-scale assignments, take the lead on concept development and creative execution with guidance and feedback from a Senior Creative.

  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with strategists, talent teams, producers, and account teams to ensure creative aligns with brief objectives and brand voice.

  • Help prepare creative presentations: Support the development of presentation materials and help communicate creative thinking internally.

  • Foster a collaborative team culture: Lead with curiosity, kindness, and accountability while contributing to an inclusive and supportive creative environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The Jr. Creative will not manage any members of the Creative team.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 6+ months of agency, brand or social media experience through internships, fellowships or other projects

  • Portfolio demonstrating a social-first approach to branded content and always-on creative, including paid and influencer work

  • Strong written and visual storytelling abilities with the ability to communicate ideas clearly

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)

  • Experience designing slides in Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Keynote

  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and a collaborative mindset

  • Adaptable and proactive, able to pivot quickly and stay ahead of social media trends and platform shifts

Physical Activity and Work Environment
  • Position may involve light physical activity pertaining to photo and video production. This includes lifting tripods, gear, props or assistant producing.

Salary Range
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00
A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
