We hold our people, our customers, and our brand to the highest standard-because exceptional brands are built by exceptional teams. Our people bring diverse experiences, perspectives, and ideas, united by a shared ambition to challenge convention, elevate our work, and build what's next.
At Boston Proper, we don't follow expectations-we defy them. Our passion and expertise are reflected in every detail, from distinctive design to refined execution, creating product that empowers women to feel confidently bold, unapologetically feminine, and unmistakably powerful.

We're looking for a strategic content leader who can do two things simultaneously: build the infrastructure that allows our brand to create content at scale and maintain the editorial quality and voice that makes our content worth reading. This role sits at the intersection of creativity and operations-equal parts architect and editor.
You'll oversee a junior content creator while building a broader ecosystem of ghostwriters, AI tools, and creative production workflows that allow us to move fast without sacrificing authenticity.

  • Source and manage a network of freelance writers who can deliver in our brand voice
  • Establish AI guardrails to ensure content stays on-brand, high-quality, and authentic at scale
  • Develop a content framework aligned with creative and brand direction across all channels including the website, email, SMS, organic and paid channels, direct mail and PR initiatives
  • Partner with performance marketing to operationalize content needs for new and emerging paid media channels, including Meta, TikTok, CTV, and beyond
  • Stay ahead of platform and algorithm change, format shifts, new channel requirements - evolving content strategy accordingly

Editorial Oversight & Voice
  • Own and enforce brand voice, tone, and editorial quality across all content
  • Oversee all brand content (i.e.; website, landing pages, email, editorial), ensuring consistency and quality
  • Lead end-to-end campaign development-from concept through execution and optimization, ensuring cohesive, on-brand storytelling
  • Develop storytelling that balances brand emotion with performance results
  • Manage and mentor junior content creator, providing clear direction and feedback
  • Partner across marketing, creative, merchandising, and eCommerce to align messaging and execution
  • Collaborate closely with the Community Marketing Manager on organic and creator content to ensure narrative cohesion across channels
  • Manage campaign calendar across launches, promotions, and key moments
  • Lead SEO-driven content planning to grow organic traffic and brand value
  • Analyze performance and continuously refine strategy

Team & Vendor Management
  • Manage freelance writers, agencies, and AI platforms
  • Build efficient briefing, feedback, and approval workflows
  • Track content output, quality, and timelines

Experience / Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or editorial leadership (fashion, lifestyle, or DTC a plus)
  • Experience scaling content through freelancers, teams, or AI tools
  • Experience with AI writing tools and a thoughtful point of view on how to use them authentically
  • Experience leading integrated campaigns that drive both brand and performance
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate insights into compelling campaigns
  • Sharp editorial eye and strong understanding of brand voice
  • Familiarity with performance marketing content and channel nuances
  • Deep understanding of the customer journey and conversion drivers

Company Benefits
  • 401k with company match
  • Competitive Medical, Dental, Vision and Life/ADD Insurance
  • Flexible and generous Paid Time Off policy
  • Merchandise Discount
  • Company Bonus
  • Pet Friendly Work Environment
  • Onsite Gym (coming Summer 2026)
  • Onsite EV Charging Stations
