Agility 360 is hiring a Senior-Level Software Engineer for a client in Indianapolis, IN. This person will be responsible for developing and supporting application components while delivering high-quality solutions with minimal supervision. This role leads technical initiatives, contributes to system design and architecture, and mentors junior engineers through guidance and code reviews. The ideal candidate collaborates across teams to drive scalable, efficient solutions and improve overall engineering performance.ips.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Review and analyze existing applications for effectiveness and efficiency; recommend improvements or optimizations.
  • Design, build, and implement new applications, web pages, and websites.
  • Integrate web systems with back-end applications and migrate legacy systems to modern platforms.
  • Perform ongoing administration of the organization's web portfolio.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance or leverage existing systems.
  • Analyze and prioritize front-end backlog tasks for active development projects.
  • Research and recommend software products and services to support development and procurement efforts.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, designers, and system owners to test software applications.
  • Work closely with product and scrum teams to ensure requirements are met and timelines are maintained.
  • Communicate with cross-functional department managers to align expectations and deliverables.
  • Support and guide junior developers to ensure their success and growth.
  • Conduct code reviews focused on improving developer skills and code quality.
  • Design software architecture for smaller projects and enhancements.
  • Partner with the Software Architect and architecture team on larger initiatives to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Engage with architects to stay current on emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Conduct research on software tools, technologies, and approaches to support development initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry advancements through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Document solutions through diagrams, flowcharts, technical documentation, and well-commented code.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
  • 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong experience across the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., C#)
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Node.js, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with web services (RESTful and/or SOAP)
  • Familiarity with .NET Core, MVC, and Windows/Worker services
  • Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD
  • Strong SQL and relational database experience
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases and Pega preferred
  • Expertise in database design and file management techniques
  • Ability to develop reusable components and software frameworks
