Job description

SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER
Location: Raleigh, NC or Wilmington, NC (On-site/Hybrid), Remote ok with travel
Reports To: Director Managed Services
The Role
Celito is entering a transformative phase of growth, and we are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support and evolve cloud platforms for a diverse MSP client base. This role is responsible for architecting, deploying, and operating secure, scalable, multi-tenant cloud environments while serving as a technical escalation point for complex customer engagements.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on engineering experience, thrives in customer-facing environments, and understands how to balance standardization, security, and cost efficiency across multiple clients and industries
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage multi-tenant cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Serve as senior escalation for complex cloud, infrastructure, and security issues
  • Lead client cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and hybrid-cloud implementations
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates for repeatable MSP delivery
  • Standardize cloud architectures to improve scalability, security, and operational efficiency
  • Implement cloud security controls including IAM, network segmentation, logging, and compliance baselines
  • Integrate cloud platforms with MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA, monitoring, backup, DR)
  • Provide technical leadership on client projects, including design reviews and implementation guidance
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering on pre-sales architecture and client assessments
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal runbooks and best practices
  • Participate in customer incident response

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a senior cloud engineer with the background and previous MSP experience that excels working in a fast paced environment.
Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
  • Experience working in an MSP or managed services environment supporting multiple clients
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP (multi-cloud preferred)
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, or similar IaC tools
  • Solid understanding of networking (VPC/VNet design, firewalls, VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute)
  • Experience supporting Linux and Windows workloads in production
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience implementing security frameworks and compliance controls (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in high-availability, customer-impacting environments
MSP-Specific Competencies:
  • Ability to balance standardization vs. customization across diverse client environments
  • Strong documentation and runbook development skills
  • Clear, professional communication with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Operational mindset focused on SLA adherence, security, and cost optimization
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ticket-driven and project-based workflows
