Job description

Summary

The Junior Business Development Representative – German executes lead nurturing initiatives associated with our global demand generation program.  This role makes outbound phone calls and emails to develop a pipeline of sales ready leads for strategic growth initiatives. The Junior Business Development Representative – German contacts prospects and existing customers associated with the initial qualification of new requests, executes database research, and qualifies new contacts and accounts with the express goal of generating a robust pipeline of potential for the commercial team. This position includes cold and warm calling prospects to generate and qualify leads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Is the first line of follow up to requests from our website for both hot and warm leads; pre-qualifies and processes leads in our CRM to a sales-ready state.
  • Develops and executes nurturing initiatives to convert cold requests into sales-ready opportunities.
  • Supports the research of new accounts and new contacts for our CRM database.  Makes initial contact with to qualify them as a potential target for our sales team.
  • Supports the sales team with market development initiatives and account-based marketing strategies, including account research, contact identification, and contact qualification through phone calls.
  • Executes occasional telemarketing initiatives, including follow-up to digital marketing initiatives with the goal of uncovering or developing an interest in Hyperion’s products.
Qualifications

Occasional travel to visit customers or consultants.  

Education and/or Work Experience
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or similar is recommended, but not required.
  • 0-3 years working in a B2B sales or marketing role, with an aspiration for sales.
Technical Skills/Physical Requirements
  • German and English fluency required.
  • Spanish language skills preferred, not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resilient and positive in the face of challenges to connect with contacts.
  • Desire and ability to make outbound calls as part of the pre-sales process.
  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge of technical products.
  • Use of MS Dynamics is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
