Responsibilities
The Jr. Analyst, Ops Support is responsible for supporting the North American Operation Support team by developing, interpreting, and implementing analytical tools and processes to understand their impact and results to drive continuous improvement.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Report writing within SQL and Microsoft Access.
  • Help ensure quality control on support tools through testing and collaborating with users to identify problem areas.
  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Implement third-party technology solutions to assist with process efficiencies.
  • Support the development of tools and processes for various needs throughout the company. Work with users on troubleshooting potential issues related to software or hardware.
  • Support deployment of new software to EFW regional offices and network locations.
  • Foster environment that encourages employees to ask for new and innovative tools.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices. If processes need to be improved, provide examples and solutions. Voice issues and concerns in a constructive manner to foster and promote a positive work environment.
  • Encourage creative problem solving among the different business units.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with all Estes Forwarding Worldwide employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Always demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
  • Address all issues in a timely manner that could impact the business in accordance to Federal laws including, workplace harassment, and discrimination, immoral and improper conduct.
  • Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must be flexible, able to pay excellent attention to detail and work under pressure during periods of peak work volume.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel formulas and report building.
  • Ability to learn and work with new technology.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as VBA.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management, organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Consistently meet documented deadlines and objectives.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Computer Science/Programming or other analytical field of study preferred.

Periodic travel up to 20% travel required.
