Job Opportunity: Junior Production Technician with Formative 3D in Falls Church, VA  Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and being part of a team that is building something from the ground up? As a Junior Production Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting the daily operations of our new production facility. You'll help maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment while assisting experienced technicians with material handling, printer support, and basic post-processing tasks.

This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and interested in gaining experience in advanced manufacturing and additive manufacturing technologies. You'll have the chance to develop new skills, contribute to innovative projects, and grow into more technical roles as the company expands. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment through regular sweeping, cleaning, and removal of scrap materials and debris
  • Assist Advanced Manufacturing Technicians with printer material changeovers, including swapping spools and restocking pellets at robotic cells
  • Move, stage, and organize raw materials, finished products, and supplies throughout the facility
  • Perform basic post-processing tasks such as drilling, deburring, and cleaning printed parts
  • Manage waste and recycling bins and support housekeeping of common work areas
  • Assist with material handling and general labor tasks as needed to support production goals
  • Help restock consumables and organize tools, bins, and storage areas
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Support team members wherever needed to help keep production running efficiently

Qualifications:

  • No prior manufacturing experience required
  • Previous warehouse, shop, production, or general labor experience is a plus
  • Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining an organized workspace
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods
  • Interest in manufacturing, 3D printing, or advanced production technologies is a plus
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed
