Java Developer

The Java developer works with a team of developers to create, maintain, and support applications that support our IT and business partners at The Cincinnati Insurance Company.

Work with a team of developers to create, maintain and enhance web services and applications using JAVA on the Linux platform with SQL Server and XML data. Work closely with subject matter experts and business analysts to implement technical requirements. Assist in the set up and execution of test cases.

Strong programming skills (5+ years overall software development in JAVA)

Experience with IntelliJ, Eclipse or VS Code IDE using GitHub Repositories

Experience with Maven and Spring Framework

Experience with SQL Server and Hibernate for data access

JAXB (Java Architecture for XML Binding) and XSLT experience

Proficient in Web Service development and testing using Postman, SoapUI and SWAGGER

Professional self-starter who is clever, innovative, and able to work independently

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, team environment

Knowledge and experience in the following Angular, CSS, JavaScript, XML Spy
