Job Summary

The Supplier Management & Labor Optimization Specialist is responsible for sourcing, managing, and optimizing third-party labor suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, service quality, and operational continuity across warehouse and logistics operations. This role partners closely with Operations, Finance, and HR to improve labor utilization and vendor performance.

Key Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, and manage staffing agencies and labor service providers

Lead contract negotiation, rate benchmarking, and cost optimization initiatives

Monitor supplier KPIs including attendance rate, fulfillment rate, turnover, and productivity

Reconcile vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies related to hours, bonuses, and incentives

Analyze labor demand forecasts and recommend optimized workforce allocation strategies

Coordinate with warehouse and transportation teams to address urgent labor needs

Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety standards

Develop standardized SOPs for vendor onboarding, performance review, and offboarding

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Supply Chain, or related field

2+ years of experience in supplier management, workforce planning, or vendor operations

Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, HRIS, or labor tracking systems

Experience working with staffing agencies or third-party labor vendors preferred

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments

Familiarity with labor cost modeling and productivity metrics

Ability to manage multiple vendors in a fast-paced environment
