Job description

An International manufacturer is currently seeking a motivated //Part-Time// Japanese/English Bilingual Administrative Assistant to support their office in the Schaumburg, IL area.


//Part-Time//Japanese/English Bilingual Administrative Assistant Responsibilities Include:

  • Act as point of contact for customers regarding order status, logistics tracking, questions and issues, etc. via phone and email
  • Receive and process purchase orders, and update logistics information and sales activity in the company system(s)
  • Assist with product pricing and provide quotations to customers
  • Interface with other internal departments and external suppliers (both domestic and international) to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Other duties as assigned


//Part-Time//Japanese/English Bilingual Administrative Assistant Requirements Include:

  • Associate’s degree in a business-related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
  • Japanese and English bilingual skills are preferred
  • Knowledge of international logistics / import and export / customs requirements is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
