Job description

  • Serve as interpreter for the President, Japanese staff, and Japanese guests (e.g., G-TEKT, JIC, JEC visitors) as requested.
  • Provide high-level interpretation support between Japanese and American staff to ensure clear communication in daily production operations, manufacturing activities, and technical discussions.
  • Interpret for production-related matters including troubleshooting, process improvements, equipment discussions, quality concerns, and operational meetings on the production floor.
  • Support communication between Japanese production leaders, engineers, and American associates during problem-solving activities and manufacturing initiatives.
  • ย Serve as translator for documents, presentations, reports, and email communications across all departments.
  • Interpret during staff training sessions and Japanese staff orientation as part of JSC introductory training.
  • Interpret communication during daily production and morning meetings.
  • Translate presentations and materials for customers and external partners.
  • Assist Japanese technical and production staff with matters concerning their stay in the U.S., including but not limited to accommodations, relocation support, family matters, and general assistance.
  • Support cross-functional meetings, production improvement initiatives, and other operational discussions requiring Japanese/English interpretation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
