Japanese manufacturing is credited with innovations that have influenced industries worldwide, especially in automotive and electronics sectors. The emphasis on teamwork, precision, and respect for workers' suggestions has led to high standards of product quality and operational excellence.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Japanese manufacturing?

To thrive in Japanese manufacturing, a strong background in engineering, production processes, and quality control is essential, often supported by relevant technical degrees or certifications. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen, 5S, and the use of ERP or MES systems is typically required. In Japanese manufacturing settings, teamwork is highly valued, with a strong emphasis on group harmony and collective problem-solving.
