The Naval Power Requirements & Capabilities (NP R&C) team is seeking an experienced and motivated Director, Business Development to represent Naval Power portfolio in Japan as our Customer Account Manager (CAM). The Naval Power Japan CAM requires having or building close customer intimacy with key Japanese government agencies, to include the Ministry of Defense, (JMoD), Internal Bureau (IB), Acquisition Technology and Logistics Agency (ALTA) Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF), Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) and Japanese industry in order to cultivate a clear understanding of Japanese defense requirements, budgets, procurement and fiscal considerations. The Naval Power Japan CAM must rapidly build a solid understanding of the Raytheon Naval Power portfolio (surface, undersea and air elements) as well as active campaigns, priority pursuits while identifying new opportunities by serving as the face of Raytheon Naval Power to the Japanese warfighter and customer on a daily basis. What You Will Do * Cultivate customer relationships to establish Raytheon Naval Power as a trusted partner within Japanese Defense establishments
* Engage and work with high level Japanese and USG officials to identify maritime and air combat capabilities, capacity gaps and existing and emerging/new requirements
* Support existing and new Raytheon Naval Power franchise captures and priority pursuits, to include supporting the Naval Power Business President and assigned Vice Presidents.
* Develop creative, integrated solutions with Japanese and Raytheon functional leads for new business opportunities in order to grow topline pipeline growth for Naval Power
* Work closely with Naval Power program and functional leads to capture 5YP bookings, exceeding $5B over the 5YP
* Support and coordinate the Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM), proposal, EX/IM, Engineering, and Capabilities Assessment teams in execution of existing contracts
* Work with in-country Japanese teams, including Trading Companies, to develop and execute country-specific programs and growth strategies
* Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
* Travel frequently to Japan (25-50%) Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 14 years' experience in Aerospace & Defense or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience
* Experience in Naval Systems operations or acquisition including radars, AEGIS, shipboard missiles, Tomahawk or naval operations Qualifications We Prefer * Surface warfare officer with experience with Navy integrated air and missile defense technologies, operations, and platforms (command of an Aegis ship preferred)
* Experience with Direct Commercial Sale/Foreign Military Sale (DCS/FMS) processes and procedures, to include US import/export policies and guidelines
* Experience working with Japanese defense and security agencies: Japanese Ministry of Defense, Internal Bureau, Acquisition Technology and Logistics Agency, Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force, and Japanese Air Self Defense Force as well as key Japanese industries
* Experience shaping, modifying and supporting Japan's Defense Build Plan
