Pay Range: $80,000 - $180,000 (Base + Commissions/Bonuses)

  • First Year Expected Earnings: $80,000 - $120,000 (Base + Commissions/Bonuses)
  • Second Year Expected Earnings: $125,000-$180,000 (Base + Commissions/Bonuses)

As a Family Sales Advisor or Community Development Advisor, youโ€™ll utilize various lead sources including self-generating leads, web leads, direct mail responses, community events, and in-person seminars to drive sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively builds relationships in the community to educate and guide families in their pre-planning decisions
  • Excels in his/her ability to set an appointment, give a pre-planning guide presentation, and product presentation
  • Provides professional park tours to help families select what is right for them
  • Prospects daily using multiple methods including cold calling, door knocking, mailers, seminars, and outside events
  • Provides world class customer service, a positive attitude, and a willingness to do โ€œWhatever it takesโ€
  • Completes paperwork timely, neatly and accurately, including all specific requirements for contract processing
  • Actively tracks all sales activity and ratios to measure areas of strength and areas that need improvement
  • Uses CRM to track all contacts and ensure professional follow-up
  • Our bilingual advisors work niche markets to help better serve the community
  • Contacts new and existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needs
  • Keeps current in areas as they relate to our profession (veteranโ€™s benefits, social security benefits, end of life decisions, etc.)
  • Builds relationships with churches, civic groups, veteran organizations, hospice, senior living, & other community groups. Once relationships are established, pre-planning seminars are scheduled and conducted in accordance with NorthStar Memorial Groups established program
  • Works multiple prospecting avenues such as, โ€œweb leads, Seminars, park patrolling, file reviews, direct mail, and all other prospecting methods in accordance with NorthStarโ€™s Sales Playbook
  • Makes 55 outbound calls per day to schedule appointments
  • Schedules 10-12 Pre-Need appointments each week that are tracked in the CRM
  • Answers telephone inquiries about cemetery products and services pre-need planning
  • Attends training programs scheduled with sales leaders and regional leadership
