Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have 1-3 years experience working in a licensed childcare facility.
  • PREFERRED: CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education

Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work Shift: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for specific age groups of children
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (theatrical, storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)
  • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe.
  • Track children's progress and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
  • Collaborate with other educators.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Proficient Knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards
