Primary Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining an effective operation for the prevention of truancy and keeping the campus halls orderly. Supervises students, monitors their activities, ensures their physical welfare, provides disciplinary support, and does related work as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check
Experience:
Experience working successfully with students
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Direct authorized visitors on campus to their proper destination on campus and monitors unauthorized visitors.
  2. Reports tardiness, truancies, and other related incidents to the appropriate school administrator.
  3. Assist with document preparation as needed or required.
  4. Assist with student management and supervision in and around campus common areas.
  5. Monitor students in the gym, cafeteria, and hallways or other designated areas throughout the school day including morning and afternoon dismissal times.
  6. Give directions, escort students or disruptive individuals to designated locations.
  7. Assist with maintaining a safe, neat and orderly campus.
  8. Assist with the supervision and monitoring of students throughout the school day inside and outside of the classroom, including the cafeteria, playground, physical education classes, boarding and exiting the bus, on community-based activities and other assigned activities.
  9. Check interior and exterior doors and preparing required reports.
  10. Understand the SWISD Code of Conduct and Discipline Management Plan.
  11. Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
