Job description

PURPOSE : To train on site and learn how to provide four-handed assistance to the Dentist and to assist the dental staff with quality care for health center patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities will be taught on site with a trainer, at radiology classes, through online programs to learn to provide:
• Clinical assisting.
• Maintaining instruments and machinery.
• Proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments and handpieces.
• Be current on new requirements for sterilization and maintenance.
• Inventory supplies.
• Maintaining stocked dental supplies.
• Accompany patients to/from waiting area.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Water line maintenance and flushing as needed.
• Operatory infection control
• Utilize patient mouth rinse prior to any procedures.
• Verify patient's medications and health history, advise dentist.
36 hours per week
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Take and pass Radiology certification test, CPR certified, successful completion of Infection Control course, must acquire MA Dental Assistant license within 6 months of hire
