Facility Assistant Project Manager – Janitorial Services
Metro Atlanta Area
Salary: $42,000 – $ 50,000 annually
Shift: Any | Travel: ~50% throughout Metro Atlanta/ Augusta GA Area

Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing custodial operations across multiple facilities, ensuring all services meet contract specifications, company quality standards, and client expectations. This role manages staff performance, conducts inspections, coordinates staffing levels, and serves as the primary point of contact for clients. The position is based in Lithonia GA and requires extensive travel around the metro area and Augusta GA.

Essential Functions
Operational amp; Contract Management
  • Ensure all contract specifications are met and services are performed to the highest standard.
  • Conduct daily inspections of recurring work and manage periodic/special project scheduling.
  • Maintain all project documentation including work orders, supply requests, inventory, equipment logs, inspection checklists, and employee schedules.
  • Manage budgets, supply usage, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, and supply distribution.
  • Ensure facilities are secure after work is completed (locked doors, lights off, alarms, etc.).
Staff Leadership amp; Scheduling
  • Oversee Group Managers, Quality Control team lead, custodians, and lead staff.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels, including recruitment, onboarding, corrective action, and terminations.
  • Develop employee schedules and ensure proper coverage for all locations.
  • Ensure staff maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company standards.
Client Relations amp; Communication
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, handling concerns, service requests, and communications (available 24/7 as needed).
  • Prepare and deliver reports to clients as requested.
  • Build positive relationships with customers through consistent follow-up and service excellence.
Quality Control amp; Training
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled quality inspections; ensure completed checklists are available to clients upon request.
  • Customize, implement, and manage the Quality Control Program for assigned sites.
  • Oversee all training programs for new and existing employees including hands-on, classroom, and online modules.
  • Ensure mandatory training topics are covered consistently:
    • Chemical safety
    • Tools amp; equipment
    • Dusting amp; spot cleaning
    • Restroom cleaning amp; disinfection
    • Carpet care
    • Hard surface floor care
    • Workplace safety
    • Building security
  • Maintain accurate training records for all staff.
Reporting amp; Administration
  • Review all supply requests, logs, work orders, and reports.
  • Communicate essential updates to corporate headquarters.
  • Ensure all required documentation is accurate and submitted timely.

Qualifications amp; Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of janitorial management experience in a commercial custodial environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-relations skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent typing, writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgment, punctuality, time-management, and work ethic.
