Job description

IU Health Medical Group has an employment opportunity for a BC/BE PRN Nocturnist at IU Health Medical Group at Arnett Hospital located in Lafayette, Indiana.

Employment opportunity details:

  • Schedule:  one week on and two weeks off, approx. 17.3 work weeks annually.
  • The rotation in scheduled hours every worked week between the three shifts:
  • (12p - 12a) Admitting shift,
  • (4p - 4a) Admitting shift,
  • (7p - 7a) Cross cover, in coordination with a rounding APP.
  • 10-14 admits per shift.
  • Scribe assistance during admitting shifts.
  • Working with family medicine residents overnight
  • Hospitalist team totals 30 Physicians.
  • 9 Advance Practice Providers
  • Acute care with abundant subspeciality consults, suburban setting, adult population, closed ICU, provide telehealth coverage for IU White and Frankfort Hospital.
  • Respond to all codes and RRTs. Experience with procedures and intubations highly preferred. 
  • Collegial medical staff
  • Opportunity to work with medical students from IU School of Medicine West Lafayette Campus.

Qualifications:

  • Residency training in Internal Medicine
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana
