Job Summary:
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Engineer Technician to provide technical assistance for Internal Test Equipment Systems (ITES). This role focuses on supporting Linux and TCP/IP networking while performing routine tasks, assisting with diagnostics, and adhering to established procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the basic setup and configuration of ITES.
• Follow detailed instructions to perform routine maintenance tasks on Linux-based systems for ITES.
• Document observations and steps taken during troubleshooting processes.
• Escalate issues to full-time Support Engineers or Associate Support Engineers as directed.
• Assist with basic cable management and hardware verification for ITES.
• Perform data entry and record-keeping related to support tickets.
• Learn to identify common error messages and basic system behaviors.
• Adhere strictly to company safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Participate in on-the-job training and seek clarification when needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Associate's degree.
• High School diploma or equivalent and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.
• Assist in the basic setup and configuration of ITES.
• Follow detailed instructions to perform routine maintenance tasks on Linux-based systems for ITES.
• Document observations and steps taken during troubleshooting processes.
• Escalate issues to full-time Support Engineers or Associate Support Engineers as directed.
• Assist with basic cable management and hardware verification for ITES.
• Perform data entry and record-keeping related to support tickets.
• Learn to identify common error messages and basic system behaviors.

• Basic Linux Exposure: Familiarity with turning on/off a Linux system, basic navigation in a graphical user interface (GUI) or understanding of simple command-line prompts (e.g., how to open a terminal).
• Fundamental Computer Hardware: Ability to identify basic computer components (e.g., CPU, RAM, hard drive, network port).
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and meticulously record information.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding tasks and observations.
• Willingness to Learn: Eagerness and openness to acquire new technical skills and knowledge.
• Reliability: Punctual and consistent in performing assigned tasks.
